What is a Grade 6 event?

  • Grade 6s are MATCHPLAYS
  • Acceptance is Date/Time of entry and rating
  • Great for Junior players wanting to play against players of a similar level
  • build experience
  • low pressure
  • fun tennis supportive environment
  • LIMITED SPACES available per rating (typically 4-8)
  • Advice: EARLY ENTRY RECOMMENDED - be the first with your rating to enter not the last.
  • Advice: for your best chance to play STAY ON THE RESERVE LIST PAST THE WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE, reserves not called upon to play are always refunded inline with LTA Regulations (within 48 hours of event being completed).

  • LOCAL LEVEL competition
  • Acceptance is based on TIME/DATE OF ENTRY - first come, first served.
  • These events are in high demand and often have long reserve lists.
  • Great for strong performance Junior players in 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U.
  • Frequently over-subscribed with long list of reserves.
  • 16U and 18U are advised to enter as soon as the event opens to secure a place - first come, first served.
  • attracts players from the local area
  • players tend to travel up to 1 hour to access these events (40 miles+).
  • Advice: for your best chance to play STAY ON THE RESERVE LIST PAST THE WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE, reserves not called upon to play are always refunded inline with LTA Regulations (within 48 hours of event being completed).

  • COUNTY LEVEL competition
  • Great for strong performance Junior players in 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U.
  • Open events (Men's) are extremely popular, look out for adult priority events (AP) where acceptance priority is based on those aged 19 and over.
  • Frequently over-subscribed with long list of reserves.
  • attracts many of the strongest players in the region.
  • players tend to travel a fair distance (e.g. up to 60 miles+) often up to 2 hours of travelling time to access these events.
  • Advice: for your best chance to play STAY ON THE RESERVE LIST PAST THE WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE, reserves not called upon to play are always refunded inline with LTA Regulations (within 48 hours of event being completed).
